My guess was 7.62 Grendel, but if you take pics, then you have it in your hands and it means it's not what I thought (7.62 Grendel is almost impossible for civvies to get).

If the rim IS indeed smaller, then my guess would be a 375-284. There's not enough shoulder to be a 358-284 or 338-284 IMHO

If not, I'll say it's a 9.3x57 (or maybe a 9x57)

Casing looks like a 35 rem or 35 Whelan, not sure on the projectile.

I don't think it's an '06 case - it looks a bit short, and the neck's not long enough. I could see it as a 35 rem

7mm tcu. for the contender. A .223 casing necked up to take a 7mm bullet in the 100 to 120 grain range.

The TCU has a sharper shoulder though. A 375-08 wouldn't have a rebated rim - if the picture shows one. Otherwise it could indeed be a 375-08 'jaguar'
