Shot this a couple years back..... No one knows for sure what it's cross bred with. I'll probably never see another like it.

looks like a Canada Goose x typical domestic white goose
Thats what i think too. The coloring on the chest is similar to a mallard x we shot few years back.

I walk the dog around a lagoon that winters a bunch of Canada's and Mallards. People that got tired of domestic ducks dropped them off there some years ago. Some pretty large Mallards with white plumage for a few years.

Lmao!!! figured there'd be some entertaining replies.
Been a lot of discussion regarding what it's crossed with, even spoken with the Canadian wildlife service. Generally speaking most of the thoughts are Canada crossed with either a domestic goose or a speck. Only thing that makes me question the speck theory is the size. It's a big fella....taxidermist had to cast the head because even the biggest Canada goose head he had was to small. I found this while digging around the web....I shot mine 1.5 hours south east of Ottawa....makes one wonder.
