Sometimes you see something you can't have...then wish you hadn't seen it in the first place. lol Such was the case with this little gem. Didn't think I'd see one in my lifetime. Any guesses?

Well, It obviously goes on the end of some barrel.. Has a sling mount. And probably something for a flashlight? What it's called.. Still no idea.

I thought for sure it was a bayonet launcher!!! (inside joke from the early 80's ---- ya kinda had to be there!)

It's a modern replica of a bayonet-mounting device put on (as I understand) Vietnam-era military 870s called the "M870". I don't own the part, nor do I think I'd pay what I hear these rare birds demand when you CAN find them. Pretty interesting, robust, clunky looking thing...I'd love to have an 870 done-up to look like one of these original military 870s.
