To All "fellow" Smith's and DIY Smithy folks out there...Ladies and Gentlemen:

Let's have a little Fun identifying some Old and New gunsmithing tools that might be laying around in your toolbox or just laying around the bench. OR perhaps you made a new tool to make life easier and you'd like to share it.

Most Important:...PICS for Identification with notes if able.

"What was it built for?"..."What use?"..."What is it?"...or, "Why should I even keep it?"

I'll start...Because I found this particular tool in an Lot bin i acquired some time ago. It still stumps me...It's not even as old as me! Looks fairly new and pro-built. I have no idea what it was built or meant for.

Notes: The arbor is .311-312max" Looks like it could be a sight pusher..kinda. But the sight would have to be extended beyond the muzzle. Perhaps for an SKS or 303 Brit with modified sights. Keep in mind that it is a "one way IN" pusher. The Allen key screw has a flat brass pusher insert (looks blued in the pic). The arbor is fixed and perfectly centered.

Go..for your thoughts on this one??

I have the exact item in my parts drawer and it marked B-Square on it.
I was told its an attachment for sighting in rifles with offset scopes.
It could be someone feeding me BS but it could be correct.

Couldn't see anything in the current B-Square catalog, but it's in one of those trendy flip-page formats so I might have missed something. But you could send them (Safariland Group a pic and someone might be able to identify it.

Could be used for that. Allows a bore sighter to be mounted further from the bore access. High scopes, etc.
