Looking for advice on which 'narrow long eye relief scopes' are available.
I'm looking to spend 150-250$ does bushnell have a trophy or legend option ?
Is it possible to find one with variable 4-12x magnification without a large bell ?
Thx
Purpose will be target and hunting. I want 12x on this rifle. Would be cool to have longer range availability I figure
You're FOV on a LER scope at 12x (if one existed) would be about 12" @100y. Plus any optic with a 32mm and 12x magnification is going to have less than ideal light gathering capability.....
I'm ok with 7x as a maximum.....I guess...Just would be nice to have more magnification then my 22LR set up which is 3-9x. What eye relief range do u think I will need on my scout 11? Pic posted earlier thx
Why is AO that important ? No it doesn't have AO.
For novice shooters, doing impromptu target shooting at 100 y, 4x is more than adequate. Heck, you can do pretty well with a peep sight at that distance. For deer hunters in Central Ontario, 1.5 to 2 X is generally preferred, given the nature of the bush.
As stated above, the scout style of scope mount does not suit high magnification scope arrangements. Maybe the OP didn't do enough internet research when he chose that particular model of rifle???
Maybe, just maybe, the peep sight can be removed, and the rail moved rearward to facilitate a super duper 12X scope with a 50 mm bell, and AO. More questions Grasshopper...
