NATO Gas Cans

With it being NATO I heard they are stamped "for use with Chevron 87 octane only " do I dare fill these canisters with 87 octane from Esso ?

Welds on the metal ones give. I use these,

They have been through the desert in Moab several times. I also use the sceptre water cans. I find 10L to be the best size for storage and weight distribution on a rig set up for expedition.

I bought a bunch off Daves Surplus years ago. You can find the fuel cans at PA but they never seem to have the nozzles???

I rarely use the run of the mill CT plastic cans, I've had a few collapse on me when empty and driving up severe elevation changes.

Just out of curiosity, whats the big advantage over plastic ones? Plastic ones are cheap and a dime a dozen and last forever. Im not against these, they look great, Im just wondering what makes them "OMG MUST HAVE"

There's a reason why the military use the metal ones instead of the plastic ones.

Metal gas cans are a lot better for long term storage. They're also less likely to vent fumes - that way you can keep a full can inside your trunk.

I'd definitely take a few decent quality ones.

These would be the perfect candidate for a local pickup at a Burnaby HCAS show for us locals. Shipping multiples of something so bulky might get pricey. Possible?

price would be around $30 for Chinese and $40 for European made

Big issue will be cost of shipping to you.

That's what I worried about. I don't want you to bring in something that you can't make money on. Perhaps open the lid and bulk pack 12 gauge inside them, that way you're not "shipping a container full of air" :)
