NATO Norinco ammo:

No, no, NATO...

PRC Norinco ammo is not NATO. It's 7.62x51mm copper washed 147 grain ammo. Nothing 'NATO' to do with it...
I have mucho stockpile of this stuff for my 1919A4... runs flawlessly. Cheap blaster ammo... don't expect match quality and you'll like it.
It is NON CORROSIVE (the CJ93 CJ95 stuff for sure... other stampings - no clue).

Ja, I know it's not the official "NATO" ammo. I was just saying that cos that's what we called the 7.62 when we switched over from the .30-06.
We gave up our M-1 Garands for the M-14 and everyone was a little skeptical of the new Eurotrash round because it was so much smaller than
the 30-06 we were all used to.
Sorry if I obfuscated the issue. You're right, it's not "NATO". It's not even European! China is about as far away from Brussels as you can get.

7.62x51 was a US development forced on the Eurotrash by the US, and standardized for NATO.

Anyway, I've been using the stuff, and can't complain. Seems to shoot as well as run of the mill ball.

Uh-huh. They wanted it standardized so if/when the SHTF w/ the Russkies, at least all the Allies ammo would be compatable. But it took us awhile to get used to it.
Little did we know then that the Army would soon be relegated to using-- .22s! Laugh2 That would've been inconceivable in 1963.

Anyway, it's good to know that others are liking this Noco ammo. I hope supplies last, cos at this rate I'm gonna need a lot more. :D

Nothing wrong with the Norc 7.62x51, they are definitely a hot round, but that's to be expected from tar sealed steel casings. I've even put them through my 700 Tac and they are pretty accurate, I was only shooting at 300m though. For the money buying 500 or 1040 round packs is worth it.

 I tossed all the loose rounds into an OD Army ammo can with yellow lettering:

460 CTRG 7.62
LONG RANGE M118
4 BALL
1 TRACER

Hey, that's what we need--more tracer!! ----- ----- -----

Tomorrow I'm loading stripper clips. :0 )
