Yes, a proper (as per BBOTWM) front sight hood was obtained from a very respected member of this fourm.
I purchased a K98K old wood style bayonet from Marstar, and am very happy with it as well....now all remaining is a sling and a whole unifrom!

Are you leaving it as a VOPO rifle!
Or are you trying to make it look more BNZ 1941 Vintage original?
To look more original WWII you would have to remove the bluing from the buttplate.
BNZ stocks were unique,the relief cut for the bolt handle is unique on a BNZ.Should be less shallow etc.
