I went out today to try out my fancy new to me 10/22 I put a NCStar 4x30 on the rifle... Before I could even get the scope to zero less then 100 rnds the entire duplex turned to a 45deg angle... I spent more time unwrapping the new spinner targets then I did shooting.. What a piss off now I have to jump through hoops to get warrenty :(

Yeah somethings we have to learn the hard way. I'll never buy NCStar again and mine didn't even fail the way your's did. I had a compact 3-9 and the cross hair had to be about 2MOA thick and the adjustments were no way near 1/4" @ 100 yard and certainly not repeatable.

Leapers is WAY better IMO and even it has a lousy reputation. I'd say it's okay to put a Leapers scope on a sub 100 yard low recoil gun. It can take the recoil, mine did fine with about 450 rounds on my M14, but the eye relief is short and the cross hair is too fat for over 100 yards.

I've had it with cheap optics though, it's a waste of time and money. I'm going to pick a rifle at a time and start saving up for at least a Bushnell or a Falcon.

I do not understand your problem here, we warranty ALL NC products that we sell, without question.
We replace and even pay the shipping on defective product.

Get in touch with us with your invoice umber or approximate date of purchase....

Please take a moment to read our ironclad warranty, it also applies to NC Star.

Everyone else has already said it... but NC Star is worthless.

You'd be better off saving up a little bit, instead of hoping and praying that your optics won't break.

NC STAR;
We sell thousnads of these every year, our failure rate is very low indeed....

I think what I am trying to say here is if you buy from a reputable dealer you should not be risking anything at all, no matter what the item might be.
John

If you decide to change scopes, the Bushnell 3200 series is a def. step up into the start of higher end/quality scopes.

By jumping through hoops I ment getting tape and papper and going to the post office drive through traffic ...There warranty is good no issue there

The reason I went with NC is because there compact and not 200+ bux ... To each there own here but I think long scopes look stupid on a .22 the scope is all most half as long as the rifle

Like this random pic...Looks stupid IMO plus I am not blind

Agreed, I have had a Ncstar red dot on my CZ858 for years with no issues....I was happy enough with it that i bought one for my JR carbine, when i picked up one of those a couple of weeks ago. No issues with that one as well. Are they as good as a $1200.00 optic? not a chance...but i payed $150.00 for red dot laser combo, and a flashlight with remote switch. Good value for the $ as far as i am concerned.

I just cant justify putting a expensive optic on a gopher getter. I dont care about the moa or any thing as long as it holds a zero Its fine.. Its not like this thing is one of my tack drivers

Looks like It will be replaced with a better one...Yay Me

Well two observations from me. Chinese products are crap and NCstar is no exception. Second, clearly ones priorities are backwards if "looks" are more important than practicality and quality.

Lessons learned:

Use the right tool for the right job

you get what you pay for.

When you go cheap, expect cheap. I would be more interested to hear if NCstar is a hassle free for replacement as they claim.

In the case of our company (Marstar) please read our warranty policy....I cannot speak for some of the smaller importers who charge for replcement under warranty, we do not
