Honestly I've not had any problems with my two NCStar scopes.
They are both long eye relief scopes; one sits on a scout mount on an M14 and the other on a scout mount on an M1 Garand. Neither has hundreds of rounds through them or anything, but they've been holding their zero's for a couple of years of sporadic use with full powered handloads. I would not hesitate to take either of these rifles hunting.
I'm certainly not complaining about them, and I may get another one (same thing, scout type scope) for an M44 Mosin that I want to hunt with.
I think this brand is sold by reputable dealers like Marstar, and I doubt they want the hassle of dealing with known crappy products that they'll have to offer support on...
