I recently ( like 3 days ago) purchased a NcSTAR Mark III scope and mounted it to my 7 x 57 Bruno rifle. After only 3 shots, the scope failed instantly. Upon checking the scope, it revealed the parallax adjustment failed and the scope became instantly unuseable. Quite a disappointment to say the least. Has anyone else experienced this sort of problem, and if so what action was taken?

don't buy an NCStar the next time, as you can see it is not worth it. Take it back to whomever sold it to you and see what they will do with it.

I don't know if I'd trust an NCStar on air rifle, let alone a stout calibre like 7 x 57. I'm surprised it even lasted 3 shots!! That's pretty good for an NC Star. Count yourself lucky!

You bought an NCstar scope and you are somewhat surprised that it failed??.. Hmmm...

Failure is not an optiion, it comes bundled with all NCstar scopes... It's what you get for chump change

Call them and tell them what happened.

They fully warranty their stuff and will send you a replacement pretty quickly.

Been there, done that.

Good idea. Maybe the OP can get 5 rounds out of his rifle before the replacement optic takes a dump. Stop wasting money and buy a quality optic.

Ncstar was designed for airsoft NOT real firearms. If people are so cheap that they buy ncstar for their real firearms they deserve the problems.

I've got a 4x ncstar scope that has spent a fair amt of time on an sks and several .22's. Also have a ncstar reddot that is on a shotgun and it's holding up fine too (for now at least :) ). If they break, I could care less. Paid next to nothing for both.

I hate stuff that breaks and ruins my fun. There's places to cheap out, but optics need reliability or they are worthless. A replacement might not be worth the postage. Your call.

Most NCSTAR cannot even handle airsoft guns.... You gotta learn the hard way sometimes... I've seen quite a few people in your same prediciment... Small price equals good lesson. I know a few people that have great luck with the stuff on their firearms, but the majority i've talked to didn't.

And that's exactly what you should expect from an NcStar product.

So I'm wondering why so many stores sell and advertise them for real firearms?
I once bought one advertised to go on a SKS. Quickly realized it was only good
For. 22's... Sometimes... If you don't bump it LOL

Its likely a combination of ignorance and plain greed/business etiquette. Many "retailers" have no idea what quality products are and stock junk. Others know its junk and would gladly take your money.
