NCstar sks railed gas tube issue

Gun nutz,

a friend of mine purchased 2 NCstar sks railed gas tubes. when they are installed neither of his 2 Chinese sks will cycle after firing. even after switching them around and even trying on my Russian you must manually cycle the bolt back. if we replace with the original gas tube it works fine. could there be something we did wrong or are these known to have issues?

yes, they do have issues, the solution is to not use them. seriously, there are better options out there.

I found those to work great.. Ever since I started using them the way they were meant to be used, sheets of paper stopped flying off my desk If you want a forward rail, get a scout mount. Not only will these pieces of junk give you cycling issues, it's not like anything you put on them will be able to hold zero after a single shot.

They are out of spec, slide the piston in and out with your finger plugging the other end, if no vacuum effect, there f!!ked,

Ok thanks for the info! I will have a look how the piston moves in the tube then break the bad news to my friend that he bought junk
