As a young boy with a copy of Military Small Arms of the 20th Century, I dreamed of owning an AR-10.

Would this new rifle from NEA be able to take a match grade barrel made for either the DPMS or KAC pattern AR10s (I'm kinda clueless in regards to AR10s)? I'd be stoked to have something to run in PRS gas gun matches that I could actually stretch out at my shooting spot on crown land

I used to shoot my AR10. It was a nice gun to handle and shoot. Low felt recoil.

I heard yesterday through unofficial source that the FRT was approved and it's non restricted. Can anyone confirm?

The Armalite ar102 shows as non restricted.

Nothing yet for the nea 102.

The approving officer is having some health issues, so this could get delayed a few weeks as the back up gets up to speed on where things are at. Sounds like the NR FRT is not an if but when.

The same rumors were around for the nea 25 so don't get your hopes up just yet.

Interesting. It would be really cool if they did a retro Portuguese 18.5 rifle as well as a modern style. I'll be keeping my eye on thread despite their history. If they do this right it could do a lot to restore their reputation.

I've been wondering for years why someone didn't do this.

At this price point, I'll be in for a 308, 9mm and 223 if they are avalaible.

I read in one of their Facebook posts that there wouldn't be a .223 version but possibly a 7.62x39. Which I would really like to see. I'll take one in .308 and 9mm too. Lol
