Nea 102

Anyone else find it weird all talk about this has dropped off the radar. No more NEA hints or teasing on Facebook.....

Not at all, it comes and goes. The RCMP is likely stalling as much as possible. The legal argument appears to be sound, independent of political intervention it should happen. I hate the delaying tactics Government agencies use...we don't live very long after all.

I wish people would stop saying #### like this. They'll end up raising the price

Yep how dumb can one be! Hey Pal if your loaded with money and enjoy paying more for your stuff how about you shut your trap and send the extra cash to our gun Org. Maybe if you send enough and ask politely they can have a plaque made to acknowledge all the money you have given to make you feel just extra special! All the while helping our cause instead of just raising our price!

They must of never handled a NEA firearm to say stupid ch!t like that.

Me its not even that, that is just a pile on. I mean do these peoples walk into a car dealership and say wow that pickup is awsome! You ask $50 000 but I would pay $65 000????

Why would anybody say that?

It is pretty stupid isn't it, you pay what the market will bear, telling the people you'll pay more because it's NR is just going to make it happen...they make money on the NEA-15, which shouldn't cost much less than the NEA-102 to produce, a quick look and you can have one for $1299 or less.

If they come in at $1700 with no IOP pricing I will wait and see what the reliability and accuracy is like. If they are $1500 less IOP discount I'll buy one and give it a try. I believe it was said the price was supposed to be between $1500-$1700, probably depending on options.

I agree. I'm willing to be an early adopter at a certain price, but not if it gets too high.

Myself included, im not paying $2000 for this gun. $1500 is an expensive rifle

That's funny, have you actually looked to see what $1500 buys you these days in a non restricted semi auto? You get a POS made in china T97 with a flat top upper.
I hope these come for the prices you all dream they will but my bet is that it will be $2000 once they hit the shelves. Maybe $1500 to the retailer then they want to make some money so add 20-25% plus tax.
Being made in Canada means high overhead and high labor costs and selling a rifle that only appeals to a small portion of our small market. Design, R&D, testing, manufacturing, distribution, it all costs more here than outsourcing to other countries or selling real volume like an AR in the US.

I'm in at 1500....labour costs in Canada haven't gone up at all since our dollar dropped compared to the USD.

Production costs will be on par with other NEA offerings....what are the NEA 15's going for?

Guys offering to pay 2000.00 when NEA has already quoted in the 1500/1600 range are, well IMHO not really the brightest bulbs on the street. :(
