Yeeeehaw! As the title states, we have .22lr NEA uppers ready to pick up in about two weeks! Fantastic news. Now I can shoot goats and other critters during the day, swap uppers, switch on my m14 LedLenser (which will be mounted on the .22lr upper) and start engaging possums and rabbits at night. What happens if I spotlight a pig? Well, I will just quickly swap uppers and start pumping 55gr SP's downrange.....wait, that means I need another LedLenser.....:rockOn:

Or, do I save around $200 and get a Ruger 10/22 takedown....hmmm..tough call.

Yups, check out their website. Our NZ supplier called me last night with the news that he is just waiting on firing pins. Would you buy the upper or go with a cheaper 10/22 takedown?

Probably not such a problem in New Zealand...

I'd still go with the Ruger, though the .22 upper is a cool idea - quite a different concept than the CMMG .22 drop-in kit.

DPMS makes a .22 upper too. It sports a 16" bull barrel. Ray at General Gun had one and says it runs great. I'm considering it myself.

Ah, my bad. I rarely stalk locations... Canadian Gun Nutz, so I assumed, and now feel silly. Enjoy your Canadian made toy, with more freedom than we are allowed.:)

Sounds great, I'll be looking at these when generally available in Canada. I just can't see spending a whole lot on a 22lr upper - like with the 7.62x39. Can't wait to see some reports on this sure would be a lot of other options on the market - or so I think.

I'm putting my polymer chippa upper on the EE,r regardless

It is a tough call, I do like the idea of being able to practice with .22lr on the same platform. But are two rifles better than one with interchangeble uppers? It certainly will be easier packing one of the uppers in my backpack and then just swapping around as the situation dictates.
