just wondering if anybody else ordered one of these:

NEA 14" Parkerized, modified heavy profile. no Sights. Cyl Bore. Drop-in installation.

suppose to be a thinned profile requiring no modification to install. I'm still waiting for news from NEA so I was wondering if anyone did get news...

Edited to add the barrel didn't work in my express receiver. NEA are blaming my reveiver, suggested installing it with a mallet and said it will get better with time... I returned it, NEA still said it was in spec, but they'll refund me less shipping, so bottom line is I lost 30$ and a month of headache.

I was originally looking for a 14" for my Wingmaster but coudn't find one so I ordered a 12.5 from CanAm. I would consider buying another to have one in 14" so I'll keep an eye on this.

I was originally looking for a 12.5, but couldn't miss the deal on the 14" and I try to stay away from chinese gun.
If NEA offers the same deal when they launch the 12.5" I might grab one and EE this one unless it feel to good to part with... we'll see.

my order just passed from "processing" to "complete" btw :)
 
From what I understood on their forum about said barrel; they heard of two case out of a hundred where the previous profile didn't work, but that was enough for them to warn everybody.
I've seen pics of their "heavy police profile" on a wingmaster receiver on the tac-shotgun thread, It's a gamble I guess.
Mine is to go on an express, and I have access to a police at work. I'll let you guys know how it fit on both once it gets here... (And when my receiver gets here.)
 
Well I learned today in a reply to one of the emails I sent asking what was happening with my order (placed on the 18th) that it was delayed at least until late next week as they sent the barrels to get laser marked 14".

We'll see what happens next...

Sounds like they jumped the gun a fair bit with their "complete" notification.

No kidding, they also told me via Facebook it had shipped Monday or Tuesday...
So far it feels like they'll find something to say for the sake of saying something.
At 185$ that's what you get, so far still worth it, we'll see how long that last...
 
The new profile or the "heavy police idontknowhat" from a little while ago?

I dont have an express barrel to compare the two side by side, but I'll give my honest opinion
 
I bought one of the thick a$$ ones. Haven't shot it yet, it is at the gun smiths getting sights put on it. But I can say the finish leaves something to be desired, the Grizzly barrels have a way better finish.
