NEA 15 and Magpul

Hey guys , new to the board here but I figure this would be the place to ask a question about my new NEA AR in 5.56.

I just got back from the range , first time out with my NEA and I have 2 different uppers a 14.5" in 7.62 x 39 which shot flawlessly with the C Products Pistol mags in it and a 12.5" in 5.56 which locked open after every 2nd shot with 5 different Magpul Gen 3 PMags in it. There seems to be quite abit of play in the mag well and when I push the mag up and forward I can cycle off all 5 shots but if I just let the mag sit in the well , the action will stay open after every shot or 2.

Is this a common problem with the Pmags or an issue with my mag well on the NEA. I don't have any other mags to test it out with at the moment.

Any help or suggestions would be great

I can't give you any first hand knowledge as I've never owned anything from NEA, but I've owned many PMAGS without that issue. I've read about a lot of NEA issues regarding out of spec machining so that'd be my suspicion.

Someone let me shoot theirs at the range it was a 7" 5.56, it was almost brand new, and had the same issue it would not lock back on a empty mag. And even if you looked it back manually, just shaking or tapping on the gun would drop the bolt.
