Nea-15

NEA has had more than their fair share of blunders and blemishes, you'll get no argument from me on that. I just don't get why you seem to have made it your mission to save the world from NEA. I at least have an excuse to keep taking your bait, I have several of their rifles and really like them. What's your reason?

My reason is that I don't like to see people get ripped off. every single thing I have said is true, most of the threads got deleted when NEA was still a sponsor. The carrier with the hole in the wrong place was here on CGN the hole for the firing pin retainer was out of position to such an extent that the cotter pin wouldn't go in. NEA's own bolts have had issues, ask deagle he had two IIRC. The list of broken, loose or blown up pieces of NEA guns is very very long. One poster here called them "the worst AR manufacturer in north America" I agree. The "it was just a bad batch" excuse has been used by NEA so many times that it should be on their logo.
What generation are they on now 5,6?

Well then I guess I give up. If you're going to make up things and then claim that evidence of those things was deleted when NEA was a site sponsor (which was 4 years ago, 2012 iirc) then it is pointless to discuss things further. It's a shame that you've taken up axe grinding at the expense of integrity.

If you have to ignore the truth and stoop to insulting my integrity, then it really demonstrates how weak your position is.

...but hey they sure make things entertaining!...
Exactly, NEA threads are that.
I feel bad for the owners, but something always blows up.
Bought an older NEA BCG and Crusader brake. The BCG is too tight in any AR upper I've put it in. Still waiting for NEA response on that.
The 5.56 brake had chambers made for .30 cal. I modified it with 5/8x24 threads and opened the muzzle end for a 7.62x39. Works better now.

Contacted them, mine was one of the bolts at issue, and they're sending the new one out no charge.

Only good things to say about their customer service, I had ordered one of their rails from a retailer that came without mounting screws and NEA fired those off right away at no cost as well.

All new products can have issues but if they stand by it while they work out the kinks, I'm happy to support a Canadian manufacturer.

Had it out at the range yesterday and put it through its paces with 200 rounds, rapid fire. Not a hiccup.

Except it's a product that has been produced for near to 60 years.......
There shouldnt really be any 'kinks'

I only support quality products, I don't care about if Canadian or not. If its quality it gets my money.
We need to stop enabling companies that dont take quality seriously. Having a rifle explode and taking a charging handle to the face is not a laughing matter.
If my car exploded due to quality issues, it sure as hell wouldnt be a laughing or excusable matter due to them going on their learning curve? Like are you facking kidding me?

Everyone talking about how great their CS is. I rather have a quality product where I dont have to use their CS. While waiting for their CS to fix your broken rifle, you are now out of a working rifle.

I can only speak from my own experience with a single NEA rifle that has so far functioned without issue. I know 3 other people with NEA rifles who also have no complaints. From what I understand, the failures resulted from an outsourced bolt that they've since corrected when they began making them in house from S7 steel which is stronger than the 4140 that the older ones were made of (this info comes from one of their design engineers I spoke with about my bolt that they replaced free of charge even though I hadnt had an issue with mine...yet)

If the faulty bolt issue has been addressed and they're making it right at their cost, are there other issues with their rifles that have resulted in the negative opinions of their company? I only ask because I'm new to the CGN forums, the only issue I had heard of was the bolt, and I know there are people much more knowledgable about their product than I would be based on my limited experience with one of their rifles. I picked mine up in 2013 as a 2nd AR and a cheap base for an SBR build that hasn't seen much use until this year.

Do a search with nea as the key word and three years as the time line, prepare to be amazed. The issues include but are not limited to
Broken bolts
broken cam pins
over sized holes
doubling when firing
loose barrel extensions
loose gas keys
unstaked gas keys
gas keys with angle grinder damage
rails out of square
burrs
rifles shipped with no BCG
cartooned flash hiders
ejection port covers that don't fit
over sized gas ports
barrel extension failures
charging handles that wouldn't clear back plates
uppers that are out of spec
lowers that are out of spec
bolt ford assists that fall off
Those are just the ones I remember

no the shiatty bolts are not the only issue.

lets stop the insanity here ok!

when will people learn? when a person face goes with the kaboom down range? will we still talk about faulty bolts then, learning curve, and a good Canadian company then?

anyways its just tuesday, theres still time for another blown up NEA of the week award!

So all these issues specific for just NEA or also Norinco/DA ARs?
