Allright, so heres the 1000 round update.
Since the last update, i only added the Vortex Vmx-3T magnifier and GG&G flip caps for the EOTECH. The rifle is amazingly fast up close and the option of 3x is great. Alltho, stretching out to 300 meters is a bit tough even with the fine 1 moa center dot. I paid only 260 dollars for the magnifier, including the flip mount, so i am NOT complaining.
I have fired a variety of ammo thru the rifle, including about 500 62 grain green tips, 250 55 grain umc 223, 250 55 grain american eagle ar223 black box and 20 of 75 grain hornady hpbt match. The rifle gobbled it up and runs absolutely flawless. If i can get a hold of some crappy winchester whitebox, tula, mfs, or norinco junk, im sure it will run absolutely fine.
I have been using 10 round lar10 mags, magpul gen 2 pmags and AT 10 round lar10 mags. No mag related failures whatsoever.
The bolt lugs have no wear, the gas bolts are tight and no sign of loosening.
My longest session was 280 rounds of full power nato surplus greentips in about an hour, it ran amazing, with no stoppages of any kind and no signs of slowing down.
I recently shot a rifle IPSC match with strings of rapid fire up to 40 rounds per stage for a total of 6 stages, ran with no issues.
As you might have noticed, there is a washer on the vmx3t magnifier. The shorter screw wiggled loose and i lost it so i just threw a washer and tightened down the longer supplied screw. Lesson learned. Use blue locktite!!!
I will be running a tactical carbine match coming up in early july and expecting good things from her. So far, NEA has not dissapointed.
