Got mine a little while ago and was finally able to get a scope mounted and some rounds fired for accuracy.

To say I'm happy is an understatement... 10rd groups, ammo was all 55gr, American Eagle, and some PMC. I didn't have anything else with me. I'll try some heavier stuff once the snow is gone and it's a bit warmer.

Here it is. Scope (Vortex PST 6-24, ADM mount) is for another gun but I had a chance to get the 18" gun on the range so I just threw it on. Everything is factory except the stock (Troy), charging handle (Raptor) and the Grippod. I'm probably going to try a different stock and grip, and change out the trigger, as well as putting on an NEA brake instead of the flash hider.

Those milspec grips sure aren't very comfy. I bought a Magpul one and love the way it feels.

Great lookin rifle and even better shooting! You must be loving it for sure :)

Is that and NEA trigger too? What do you think of it?

Your post is too positive. How much did NEA pay you to post it?

Sorry - just shillax, I'm only mess-in' wit-'ya ;) Nice rig.

I wish someone would pay me to shoot guns... oh wait. :p

Paid full pop. I got the brake I'm putting on it for a really good deal though.

In the few hundred rounds I put through it, which includes a bunch of the 55gr Norinco stuff (that won't reliably run in a non-NEA 10.5" gun I have), it's been 100% reliable. I've used Troy, Lancer, Pmag, OKAY, and Colt mags in it.

Well, those barrels are built on excellent blanks. The guns should be plenty accurate and I've definitely never had any complaints on the accuracy of my 12.5".

Those are sure nice looking groups.

I know you can't say because of a business nda with them, but I'm still really interested to know from whom they get their barrels from (blanks and turning of).

I have heard good things about the 18" NEA bbls. Never shot one personally though. Kinda have a thing for the shorter guns.

I have been working on an alternative tuneable recoil system and that combined with the NEA brake made the rifle smooth as butter. It felt like shooting .22 rimfire.

Look'd good WP. I really prefer the look of their new handguard retention system rather than the side cuts. Should make a decent target rifle.

It doesn't surprise me that the rifle length system is reliable. You shorty AR fans are used to contending with the short barrel problems. :p.

What's the twist rate? It seems unusual fir a 1:7 to shoot the 55 grain that well. Especially the cheap AE55 fodder. Those groups are at 100 metres or yards right?

If you decide to go team NEA please don't forget to let me in on your fire sale KAC etc sale!!

Groups shot at 100m.

I figured it would be obvious.

I thought so. But it's pretty unusual for 55 AE to shoot decently. The 55pmc doesn't surprise me. That ammo has really been good for most of my rifles. Just need to get some 62 grain stuff now.

Is that 100 metres or an Ottawa 100 metres which I think is 75 metres and involves handing out medals or pro
promotions? Hehe sorry couldn't resist.

All joking aside nice shooting.
