NEA 7.5" 7.62x39 AR?

Heard some pretty mixed things about these. They crossed my mind for something fun at the range. I don't own an AR yet, just a VZ58, hence the appeal of the 7.62x39.
Are these things junk? Or not bad with the hammer spring or firing pin upgrade?
