I'm having an issue with my new NEA15. Took it out to the range and popped of about 140 rounds, then the bolt stopped cycling. I've been doing some inspections on it, and noticed the gas block on the front end moves forward and back just by tilting the rifle up and down. I'm assuming that this might be the issue, but as this is my first AR I'm not sure. Does anyone have any insights on the matter? I haven't yet taken off the rail system, but it doesn't look like the gas block has any bolts or screws in it to tighten.

Just make sure you line up all the gas porting the barrel to the block and the block and the tube. There should be a pin holding the gas tube in place so your biggest concern is aligning the gas block and the barrel. The hand guards/ rails aren't rocket surgery. Once everything is in place and tight again it should function properly

Excellent thanks. Is there some kind of index marks or anything to use to make sure the gas porting is all lined up on the barrel?

I don't think that is one of the ones we sold but even if it isn't feel free to call the store, 613-372-2662, if you need any assistance...in case NEA isn't able to call you back.

it a simple fix, somthing that can happen if the screws are not loc tited,
best thing to do it take off the hand guard at thwe range.
put the gas block back in place, tighten up the screws, then test fire the gun
if its working well, then take one screw out at a time put of red loc tite.
Fire again.
If working, take home, use stakeing tool to secure set screws
Re install handguard DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN RAIL CLAMP SCREWS!
back to the range to re sight in your BUIS.
I just had to do this to my own gun i put a 10.5 inch bbl on :(

Email the guys at nea and ask for a loctite sample pak and reloctite the set screws back in place.

As for realigning the gas block, just make sure it's sitting at 12 o'clock as far forward as it can go and you will be fine.
