You can try SFRC. I hate to be the bearer of bad news to you but ALL AR15 lowers are restricted.

It's not an AR15 lower, it's a Swiss Arms lower that takes AR mags and AR stocks. Your gun's classification will remain whatever it was before installing the lower.

NEA only made about 500 of these and although they haven't shelved it completely like their 10/22 stuff, they're heavily focused on their AR stuff at the moment. I wouldn't hold my breath on new ones. Your best bet is the EE. Giving Target Sports Canada a call might be worth your trouble. They have a ton of NEA stuff and hardly any of it is listed online.

FYI on the Swiss Arms it is the upper that is the "firearm".

The PE90 had (with the exception of Qc that is) it's upper receiver registered, but it was never a Restricted firearm (as either an AR or a variant of); that is the reason why it's the part that is serialized (with the opposite for the lower on the AR)

The lower on these can be anything you want; an AR (or a variant of) lower receiver would never fit on one anyways..

To the OP - but a WTB ad in the EE; they put up once in a while - you may get lucky!

Get this instead? Cheaper...no permanent mods done to the rifle.

Thought I'd link below the review of the NEA Swiss Arms lower from one of our CGN member (Angryeyebrows) who I fully respect based on his real-life experience, for some additional food-for-thought on this:

It's not an AR15 lower...".

Thanks for the clarification. The title of the thread asks about an "NEA AR15 lower" and those of course are restricted regardless of what upper you use. It was too early and I hadn't had enough coffee to connect the dots and realize the OP was really asking about an NEA made Swiss lower. :)

I can confirm the slop in the rear takedown pin and the channel for the bolt catch spring being too shallow. The factory spring was under too much pressure and only LAR-15 magazines were strong enough to overcome the bolt catch spring and engage the bolt catch. I removed the factory spring and cut down a weaker spring from a disposable lighter and it now functions as intended. It took maybe 20 minutes from deciding to change it to function testing the replaced spring. Happy with mine anyway.

Thanks for the replies , great to know whats going on out there with these things. I want a quality rifle that has good accuracy and will accept the pile of AR mags i have around. Including the 10 round LAR mags i have. Really want to put a hurt on some varmnit and have still have a calibur around my GF can shoot comfortably. If i can get this thing built up the way i want next i would like to try and have a match grade barrel installed.

Really wanted an RFB aswell but once i relized the price of " plinking " a 308 i became a little shy of that rifle.

Definitely not a bad idea as well. The only downside is that you do have to ship the rifle over to them (was it The Shooting Edge or The Calgary Shooting Center??) and back. So $100 on top of $250 (?) was it.

Or install it yourself. We only recommend our own installation as it is a new product and we didn't wan tto have any user induced failures. You don't need a degree to install it.

I don't believe a Match grade barrel will give you much improvement over the factory barrel. Two things which will significantly improve the SAN accruacy is installing a "match spring kit" in the trigger or using the cqB. where the trouble comes from the NR is the gas piston being attached to the barrel, causing the barrel NOT to free float. Too much movement on the barrel. The sniper version of the SAN is a tad more accurate than the NR, and almost all of that minor improvement is gained in the trigger. FWIW

I always look at these and think "That looks like an AR180B, but its three times the gun!"

Has anyone done a swiss arms with a Magpul UBR or similar collapisble stock? Most of the ones I've seen use the A2 stock.

Don't have any pictures handy, but I've seen them and using the DD adapter (http://theshootingedge.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1797&zenid=5d3a2c8001c774ea97f7bf08f58263cc) you can install whichever milspec buffer tube and stock on your SAN. Real neat setup.
