I'm also wondering why these ones have the hole for the takedown detent in the bottom instead of coming out the back?

You either have to cut the spring some or drill a hole in your grip to accommodate it.

Its done from the pistol grip. put detent and and spring from bottom once u are doing the saftey spring and detent also. now with this setup no more buffer plate is required!
