NEA barrel wont fit in dlask receiver?

Ive gone and done it now, my new 9" NEA barrel wont fit in my dlask barrel

the tights too fit.... anyone experience this with these 2 components? fix?

funny you mention that! just threw the bbl in the receiver! if it doesnt work ill put it in some liquid nitrogen at work

I had the same problem with Dlask barrel. I heated the barrel up with a hair dryer for 20 min and it slipped into the receiver fine.

on a serious note, froze the barrel, managed to get it 80% in, then it was stuck again........ sigh

Put some light oil on the barrel shank then get the barrel started into the receiver.
Holding just the barrel firmly, take a rubber mallet and bang the flat back section of the receiver.
It'll go in.....

it's been awhile since I had to wrestle with that build. the barrel is still in the receiver and I haven't bother to try to get it back out again.

Just take it to a gunsmith and have him deal with it. Better that than damaging both components. 10 minute job and headache resolved. KCUF !

Buy some 1000 grit emery paper... cut it into 1" strips... very gently saw it back and forth over the barrel tennon... just a few strokes, make a quarter turn of the barrel, few more strokes, quarter turn etc... until you have sanded completely around... clean off the filings and us a swabbing of light oil on the tennon and try the fit... if it is still too tight, repeat this process again... keep going until you get the nice snug fit you are looking for... don't mess with the tenon hole in the receiver... it is a tight tolerance and there is very little room for error.

If you are near Ottawa, bring it to me and I'll chuck it into the lathe and take off enough to make the fit for you... Did mine last week took only a few minutes...
