NEA/BCL in the EE

I'm glad I held off then the Stag10 happened !

Even seing the Badgee ads, as much as I'd like an NR AR15ish gun, I have to remind myself that its NEA and I don't want to be stuck fixing something that I bought brand new

A piston driven AR buy NEA what can go wrong ? LoL

Do we have any idea what the badger is gonna cost yet? Not that I'd buy NEA either way... Well, I do have a stripped lower by them. Bought it before c71 dropped just in case, not sure if it'll ever get built into anything although considering the problems I've read on here I might be better off not even trying...

You might get lucky, I have an NEA upper/Lower that I bought a couple years ago and have had zero issues fitting all brands of parts. On the other hand you may have gotten on of the special edition ones that only fits other NEA parts if it will fit anything at all. :p

I ended up with 2 stripped lowers over the years... Neither of them were ever assembled. I couldn't even stand the sight of it.

I mean, they had a chance to at least change the appearance when they did the name change, but they still stuck with that god awful creation of a logo plastered on the side. It became very clear to me at that point that these people lack basic creativity.

Ask yourself one question about NEA/BCL.... Would they sell in the US market place?

If it wasn't for the "Buy Canadian" mentality, these would be a thing of the past. Personally I find that sad. This isn't a product to be proud of...

Agree'd, I'm not sure how they are still in business unless they have one standard for the Canadian civilian market and their other contracts for export are a totally different level of quality. I find it hard to believe that is actually possible but it just doesn't make sense how they've been doing this for years and they're still truckin along and apparently haven't learned anything since nothing seems to change in the quality department.

I made a bet with a buddy (nea fan boy) that he can pick any new unfired upper or lower off the ee and I'll buy it. We put $500 on it that there would be something wrong with it and sure enough every bcg we tried would bind and the gas block was installed crooked and the lower rail on the handguard was out of spec. I got a new upper from warranty and got $500 in my pocket ($300 after purchase price) yes I have a new upper now but this one works perfect.

It is pretty funny watching NEA bashing threads. I would honestly bet that if the badger comes out as an NR rifle priced below 1500 bones they will fly off the shelves and everyone will begin to post "check out my badger build" threads. Lol

Absolutely. I'd be so happy with that. And even happier if every rifle they put out after that is a massive success with no obvious deficiencies. Let's face it though - almost ANYTHING NR sub $1500 will fly off the shelves. People even bought Jard rifles!

So - would YOU buy an NEA lower Vs something from Aero priced the same? Sight unseen.

checkng out a build is ok, posers will be posers

now for actual shooters, spending close to the original amount of the rifle in replacement parts to make the rifle shoot as a semi instead of a bolt action is not ok

It will be the exact same as the 102 the hype will be huge then bcl will #### it up with "features" then you'll get a millions threads about what's wrong with them and all the white knights making threads on how theirs are perfect.
Same #### as allways.

God no I'd never buy NEA. lol....but I also don't slam it on a daily basis or praise it and jump on the pre order when the newest NR version of whatever they make comes out.....only to sell it on the EE 4 days later for massive loss.

NEA Lowers are 75$ , No one can complain at that price point ! I was happy with mine and it was actually a better product...lol

What am I missing? I bought an NEA AR lower during the SFRC fire sale a few months back, in part on the strength of opinions here and there that the brand name of the lower doesn’t matter much - I believe I saw a TRexArms vid recently make that claim too. So as a relative newb I have to ask: what is so obviously wrong with buying an NEA lower, handguard, even barrel, and fitting it with name brand BCG, trigger, etc.?
