NEA Business Practices

We choose to operate only on the merits of our own product. If we f*ck up, we own up to it and make it right. We never talk down about the competition. Regardless, when faced with the gallery of those who wish to play outside fair business practices what defense do those that wish to be up front have?

You're all able to make up your own minds.. but I'm sure if you look you will see that any personal account by any staff of NEA had never been used to attack a sponsor or competitor.

Take it for what it's worth.. but get the whole story before passing judgment.

I was following the thread when gunnybunny was banned but the rest of this is news to me ...Hopefully someone will have an unbiased reveiw/explanation of this soon.

IBTL:eek: NEA has given a pretty vague response...for those who don't have access to OT some specifics from NEA would be appreciated. Either confirm or deny IMHO

For the last few months several dealers have used personal accounts, or encouraged friends to post in other dealers threads, ours included, and spread misinformation and talk trash. People actively skirt around in the shadows to do whatever they can to prop up their business not by the merit of their products, but by slamming the competition.

We don't want to know about what your competitors are doing sir.... You have been asked a simple and forthright question which stands unanswered...

Were you or one of your employees responsible for the account "gunny bunny" that was used to promote your products without disclosing a connection to your business?.....

Lets keep it on topic you two!

But has a personal account (gun bunny) owned by any staff of NEA been used to pose as an unaffiliated user for the purpose of promoting your products? That's the issue here; whether you intentionally deceived users by pretending to be a satisfied customer without disclosing that user's association to the company.

Can someone post the off topic thread here, or pm it?

As someone without access, it seems as though gun bunny was associated with either NEA or a retailer without disclosure.

USP closed the thread and banned gun bunny.

Why did USP get fired?

I could care less what practises are being followed on the forum, mods being " fired" blah blah. People are way too focused on the drama on this forum, which recently has seemed to escalate which is disappointing to say the least.

What I do care about, is a company that owns up to mistakes, makes them right and leaves the customer happy no matter what the cost to them.

Enough with the bullsh*t already.

Wow! I'm no PR expert but I think a new thread, full disclosure (even the ugly bits), is the only way to move past this fiasco. The interwebs have a tendency to never let stuff die otherwise.

While shill behaviour is reprehensible, I believe it is the policy of the admin's who have allowed it to run rampant if what NEA has said here is representative of the way things are.

Like I said in the OT, if a system is corruptible and is allowed to be corrupted, the corruption becomes the norm of the system. NEA likely got caught up in what was the perceived way of doing things here, and while they aren't totally absolved of fault based on that, the real meat of the issue lies elsewhere.

To be fair, NEA has and continues to go out of their way to get their product sorted out and that is a difficult and costly thing to do, especially for a sector of their market that by most indications is only a small fraction of their total business.

I wouldn't be so quick to scape goat them for a system that is allowed to operate this way because it fills someone's bank account. If all of the dealers are operating this way, then you might as well stop buying from every sponsor and dealer you see at the top of the page. There is no way of knowing how deep the hole goes at this point.
