NEA Co-witness rail and Vortex Sparc on a CZ-858

What elevation is your rear sight at in that picture? It looks like your front sight is cranked way up. The point of the NEA set-up is that your irons are still useable AND regulated properly.

Getting a single-distance co-witness is possible with more than the NEA/Micro/TRS-25 setups.
Yep the front sight is cranked all the way up. It's a shorty build and that's what it takes to ring a gong at 200 meter's
Here is what the front sight has to look like to hit paper at 50 meter's

And as you can see by the level yes it does work just fine.
But hell since we are yet again on this topic lets play name the owners of these rifles and witch optic actually sits low enough to "co-witness" with the factory iron sights;

Now all bs aside ThreeOneBravo this is the set-up that I was refering to that will work the best if you want to "co-witness"

You can ask Stevo your self about the set-up since it is one of his pictures. As for me, I only have had sucess with a micro or trs-25 on a nea or bc tac's hand guard. Sorry Dlask is too high and I don't own the plastic fab any more but I think I might still have there alluminum quad rail kicking around some were that I could try for you but yet again I hated it and the screw's needed for it.

Excellent, thanks for all the info/pictures. Like I said earlier I'm not concerned about co witness. For now I don't own any optics and I just want to be able to aim.
Later on I plan on picking up a EOTech EXPS2 with the QD lever. If co witness becomes too much of a pain in the ass, then I'll just have to remove the optic and flip up the sights.

Actually, no, I can't see anything by the pictures you posted. The quality and detail is terrible.

We all understand you don't "get" co-witness. You beat on that topic every chance to you get. Since you love to repost pictures of my guns, you damn well know that I've tried many different optic combinations and have posted the honest results here.

So those are the micro or full size in that picture Stevo?
If they are micros do they work good?
They allow you to look down both sights comfortably or do they have similar problems to the original iron sights?

Nice rifle by the way.

my vortex strikefire mounted on the nea upper handguard rail co witnesses perfectly at all ranges with factory irons. on the lowest setting the irons appear in the lower part of the optic but it is still clearly visible and is actually nice as the red dot appears just above the front sight hood. i took it out and fired it today for the first time since i got the nea upper. no bench but i got it sighted in at 25 yards which im ok with for now. rested on the hood of my truck with no vice or bags i was grouping 1" after i dialed in my red dot i had holes touching. i left the irons alone as i didn't have time to sight in at 100 yards today.

I don't own any Aimpoint Micro's. The small Micro-style optics pictured are Bushnell TRS-25s. I've had very good luck with them and they allow a co-witness will retaining the original functionality of the irons sights.

The full-size Aimpoint Comp M2 pictured does not allow the irons to be used normally, but you can raise the front sight in concert with the rear to allow a single-distance co-witness.

Using the NEA railed barrel clamp and railed stock adapter you can install any AR-type iron sights and they will co-witness with any optic installed in with an AR mount.

The small optic on the handguard rail is easy to use, particularly with either of the factory stocks. The irons sights are completely visible and useable. If you have a straight AR stock adapter, it does raise the cheek weld a bit. The irons are a bit harder to use then.

I should have been more specific in my question. I mentioned it in my original post, by Micro I mean Troy Micro Battle Sights, the lower profile version of the Troys. That's what those iron sights on the 858 are, correct?

Again I'm not concerned at all with co-witness, as a matter of fact I don't even own any optics right now. I just want a set of functional quality iron sights. I want flip up instead of fixed because eventually I'm going to get an EOTech.

You mean in this picture?

If so, no, they're not Troy sights. They're Yankee Hill folding sights I've had kicking around for years. That picture is almost 2 years old.
