NEA Compact Carbine Stock (CCS) PRESALE!!!!!

Looks very interesting!! Damn ###y new products tempting me at every turn. My bank account can only take so much. Stop innovating damnit!!

Any chance of pics of the modified carrier/buffer, etc? Not sure what the internals are but I would imagine a regular carrier, buffer and spring wouldn't fit.

The bcg is not backwards compatible with conventional stock buffer systems. So you although you "gain" an extra bcg, its not compatible in other guns.

Iirc this on a 7.5 overall length is shorter than an mp5. I can dig that.

There was also a bunch that ordered direct from NEA as they posted about the presale earlier (I was one of them).

I know that Big Red already asked, but I don't want his question to get overlooked in the thread. I'm interested as well:

What are the sling attachment options here? I've looked at the NEA and FB pages for it, and other than someone saying "I think I see a QD point" (which I don't) on the FB page, there is no mention of it.

Looks like a great stock, but a sling is a must (for me, and I would guess many users) and knowing the attachment options are important. I can't tell, but it seems like the design would get in the way of standard sling plates?

If SFRC (or anyone) has any insight, please let us know!

I know of a lot of people in the US who were hoping to get their hands on this. Does anyone sell them south of the 49th? If not, are there plans to?

How does the modified BCG perform with the short recoil spring and tube. I would be worried about performance and cycling issues with a modified recoil system and BCG. Any tests?

Damn, I was hoping this would work with my 7" PWS Diablo.

In theory it could. The PWS carrier has its "gas key" bolted to the carrier. So all you have to do is unbolt the PWS carrier body and attach the NEA modified carrier body and it should all work. That strikes me as a fairly simple exchange.

so will this work with a pistol length gas system, carbine, mid-length etc?

Why wouldn't it? Would you ask the same question about an aftermarket buffer? What does the buffer/recoil system have to do with the gas system? About as much as a car's brakes have to do with its transmission.

Guinea pig challenge accepted.
