I noticed someone mentioning Norinco bullets tumbling. I just checked all of my targets that i shot today. None have any signs of tumbling bullets. I can take a picture of them and post it.

Even if the bullet was tumbling right out of the barrel it wouldn't banana peel the flash hider.

It's too bad that you are having all these problems with your rifle. Short barrel ar's can be tricky to get tuned in just right. Sounds like from the above posts that there are a lot of possible causes for your issues. I hope that nea stands behind their product and makes things right.

I have a 14.5" nea carbine and I have not yet had even a single ftf or fte. I shoot AE factory ammo and mostly hand loads. I think I'm at around 1400 rds or so and have not had any issues. I hope that if I ever have an issue that I can count on nea to fix it. It's frustrating to have to deal with all those issues at once. They are not all bad and as with anything there are bound to be a few that are less than stellar.

I hope things work out for you.

I know that, I just meant because you guys see a ton of rifles per year, it seemed likely that some of them had worn out recoil springs.

Not many but when the return spring wears it causes the bolt to not have enough power to chamber a round fully.

This is most likely a gas pressure issue, not spring. Having a stronger disconnector spring or heavier buffer might help the double firing issue, but there is still too much gas IMO.

This guy would know. real life gun plumber.

After all the BS with NEA and being run off the forums... how many failures will it take before people stop feeding them? The best warranty is the one we never need because the gun is quality made!

Seriously, people need to get off the "but but! its Canadian made! Support your fellow Canadian company!"

We deserve to be represented by better quality then this!

That sucks Deagle...hope it gets resolved quickly for you. Makes me shake my head when I read threads like this...NEA can make solid rifles, just not sure why they continue to have these kinds of issues.

Because inferior materials and processes are cheaper. Less cost of product equals more profit.

You must have got the Monday or Friday gun...

I guess these nutjobs only work on mondays and fridays then.

I don't get everyone who says NEA are a great bunch of guys who make solid rifles, when we have a boatloads of evidence to the opposite, right on this forum.

And people are still buying their ####?

NEA has the absolute worst track record of any AR-15 manufacturer on this continent, and that says a lot because there is a metric #### ton of awful AR-15 mfg's in the U.S.

That would be a sensible explanation if not for the fact that many users have punished their rifles with many thousands of rounds of all different kinds of ammo without issue.

I have seen the pictures you posted of your gas key and tube. That kind of uneven wear is not consistent with a well made rifle.
