Facebook post on NEA page shows that they are in the process of getting a .308 semi auto design classified as non-restricted and posted this photo:

That would be very interesting indeed...

well looking at the take down pin location, just that alone would make it an ar10.
I,m guessing if they are making one a copy of atrs moden hunter they, they the above photo is not the gun in question

If the price is around or below $2k and it is NR I would happily buy one.

Had nothing but excellent service from my 2 NEA 15's.

ATRS has blazed the trail. It would make sense for NEA to market a similar product.

For all the people bashing NEA for copying......

How many products in your home are from an original company and not a knock off? People who don't/won't pay for an original can/will be happy with lesser quality copies. It has been a staple of business for a thousand years. Get over it....

They went back all FUBAR:) They needed some issues fixed, I'm not sure if they got it resolved or not. But they're are showing the J17(17 HMR) and J48(.223) on there site as Canadian NR. So who knows . I think the .308 will soon follow.

0% surprised that other companies are trying to follow the ATRS method. We'll have to see how this one does

There is a saying. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I figured it would only be a matter of time until someone tried to reverse engineer what we have done. I would have preferred however for it to be another manufacturer.
It should make for some very interesting reading on the forums IF they actually do get into production.
