I don't see a damn thing wrong with their post.
Are the statements true? Yes. Is it politically correct? No. Am I tired of hearing everyone needs to be politically correct and not have an opinion....yer damn rights I am. Being politically correct will eventually make firearms owners extinct.
Also do you honestly think that those "operator" types help us at all with anti's? Do you think that a guy in costco isn't going to be be judged by the general public as the face of firearms owners looking like a run-n-gun commando?
Keyboard commando's, mall ninja's, costco-operators all give firearm enthusiasts a bad rep. It should be discouraged if you want to be taken seriously. How would you feel if the firearm orgs showed up in full operator gear to present their concerns to the senate?
Lovely thread! That's 45 minutes of my life I won't get back.

I read that rant too. Generally I really like NEA, their customer service and the dudes who work there but that ran seemed really strange to me. Complaining about people dressing up yet they have a number of their products pictures with people playing operator-dress up.
It says it was posted at 1:46, I wonder if that was Am and after a night of drinking. (or in my case PM and after a day of drinking)
Some NEA pictures from their FB for context.

Exactly!. This is what bugs me lol. I agree with them in the fact I think it's silly to dress up to go to Costco. And yes, I am aware In other ways that companies do the same. It just seemed like bad form.
Btw I loved the fashion police badge hahaha.

Now remove the guns, take off the helmet and put the guy inside costco pushing a shopping cart......they are complaining about that guy. Not the ones with guns in hand.
No Costco here but we do have a Wally World. But all I get to see is is all the crazies in their PJ,s. Posing as lazy ass sleepers ....I have never seen anyone like that in costco... or anywhere else for that matter.

4 quetions:
1 Are you guys serious?
2 You are actually biatching about what another man chooses to wear at Costco?
3 The fack is wrong with you?
4 Do you still have testicles? Last time i checked women were the ones biatching about what other women wear!
You joke, but range fashion is serious business. I once showed up at the range wearing the same 5.11 pants as another guy, the stare down quickly escalated to a full on duel to the death. Lucky for me, someone noticed his Multicam hat was Condor and he died of embarrassment before we exchanged gunfire. It was a close call!
How do you know who those guys are and what their background is? Is it possible those guys are actually retired mil?
are you saying that being retired military is a legitimate excuse for what you wear or is it a requirement as part of your discharge papers? How do you know who those guys are and what their background is? Is it possible those guys are actually retired mil?
This is also what I was told. Building on the AR15/AR18 mash up I designed and claiming it a derivative of the AR180B, which it was, would have triggered a likely reclassifcation of the entire AR180B types. I can see this ending up with either my rifle or the entire AR180B group going prohibited as an AR180 variant. The AR180B has always been a classification annomaly. It was shelved for this reason. But hey, at least I got paid.IIRC at least one design (of an AR180B type) was actually bought by NEA to put into production for this exact purpose...this was a couple of years ago so I'm getting hazy but I believe that they were warned not to by the lab as at the time there was a concern about it triggering a change of classification. Don't hold me to the details but I know they wanted to do it and paid for a design, and then put it all on hold.
