1.) Blueline released a whole batch of #### lowers about two years ago. The anodizing was blotchy and had blue/purple in them.
They also would not take take down pins or trigger pins. The mag wells were tight.
These lowers were made by Dlask. I bought three lowers. Took over six months to return, deal with CFO, and get my money back.
2.) That muzzle device was installed by the user, and the issue was user error. Not NEA.
3.) We have Colts at work that are Anodized grey. My KAC URX 3.1 rails are a grey.
Who blamed you for NEA's ####ty product?
I think someone earlier did, something about the muzzle device.
NEA 14.5, gen 1 - At LEAST 15k rounds through it, barrel is now keyholing. I let NEA know about this and they asked me to send in the upper. No issues otherwise.
Hmmmmm will have to keep an eye out as mine approaches that number....surprised that barrel may be shot out that quickly....Lifetime warranty on the barrel may come in handy. Please keep us posted on how they respond.
Not saying I like NEA products ( all I have ever owned is a FA bolt. No problem so far. )
But...
"My buddy had/I know someone with an NEA and it had problems 60 27.40%"
I will call that probably half of this result is from forum gossip...
Getting the opinion from people who have no direct experience with a product is irrelevant. Go ahead nerds make my day.
Let's get a bit more scientific here folks.
This poll is ONLY FOR OWNERS of these guns who have ACTUALLY FIRED THEM.
OK?
No politics guys, just the facts (from the range) Maam
QUESTION: Are you happy with the gun? Yes or No.
This poll will track everyone who votes on it and how they voted. I hope that this will prevent non-owners from voting as their opinions do not count in the context of this poll.
I have not yet received my Outlaw yet so I will not vote in the poll until I have received mine and have actually fired it.
So to the owners, please post a picture of your gun, ie. not one from the CANAM website. You don't have to be in the photo, nor does it have to be gun #### grade. It could just be a cellphone camera shot to prove that your vote and opinion in this thread is based on actual ownership and use rather than an opinion.
Comments from OWNERS who have fired their Outlaws are welcomed since these will comprise observations based on facts and actual usage as opposed to non-fact based opinion.
Remember guys, for this thread, let's keep the politics out of it.
Thanks to all.
NEA 14.5, gen 1 - At LEAST 15k rounds through it, barrel is now keyholing. I let NEA know about this and they asked me to send in the upper. No issues otherwise.
update -
NEA called me yesterday to advise me of the steps they are taking. They tested barrel, and found that it is indeed key-holing, so they replaced it. Little dilemma - the rifle was one of the early 14.5s with a mid length gas system, which they no longer use. All 14.5s are now carbine length gas systems. SO they asked if i wanted a 12.5 or 14.5 barrel with new gas system installed and I opted for the 12.5. They told me the upper would be shipped back to me today. Quick process, so far, with good customer support, for a rifle that has seen LOTS of abuse. Im happy.
Received the rifle from NEA on Thursday, the 18th. One week turn around, very impressive. Ended up coming home with a new 14.5 with a mid length gas system and new rail, which had me scratching my head regarding my discussion with the rep who called. Perfect though, because that is the configuration I wanted anyway. Awesome customer service, however, I went to zero some irons on it tonight and ran into a few new issues, and will have to return the rifle to NEA for some diagnostics. Not a big deal, considering customer service has been great so far, and the rifle has been rock solid for me for many thousands of rounds.
Hopefully they didnt send you back the gun with the same barrel you sent them.......
