Please excuse the finish, it literally came out of the tumbler last night and i tried a home blue job as i left early this morning for IWA.

the rail is pre heat treated 4140 and will be finished in manganese phosphate.
The special feature on this rail is that you can mount an aimpoint micro directly to the rail and achieve a co witness with the factory irons.

Shipping to dealers early next week.

Some minor advice, I would incorporate some lightening cuts on the underside and mill out the middle parts of the picatinny ribs like on Nightforce rails. Not for cosmetics, but for keeping it as light as possible yet still rigid. The rifle is already pretty heavy.

Here's an example of one I made for my AR180B.

I hate the top center notch on Pic rails, but I second the lightening cuts. We can't see what the bottom looks like so it might have them.

I think you might have to use smaller screws. ;)

I may have to get one of these. I have a Kyle rail now but it's slightly out of spec so fixed base scopes like the Elcan don't sit quite straight on it.. :(

So what is the advantage to this over the B&T rail? It will probably be heavier. I get the Aimpoint mounting...kinda neat but useless if you don't run a micro. Looks to be about the same height as the other rails on the market.

when will the dealers have it? also i plan to run a millet DMS scope on a AD recon mount, will your lower rail allow the scope clear the rear drum sight? i know the B&T gives enough clearance?
