Hi guys
I have done many tests last week with the 4th NEA upper handguard to see if he hold Zero when you remove it and reinstall.
I have done the procedure maybe 20 times too see if the POI will change and get a conclusion!
What you will see on the pics are 10 shots groups at the 25 yards line and the 50 yards. I just show two targets because this is the average of what i have see after many hours of the same procedure.
All shots were made with a bag and a rest, so the human error have been considerabely reduce .
25 yards 10 shots groups on each target
50 yards 10 shots groups on each target
In conclusion, the majority of time the POI will change slightly after the removal and reinstall of the upper. Sometimes this is just a questions of mm, and sometimes the POI will not shift at all.
For me this is not a big deal and the purpose of this rifle is not to be a precision one. What i can say is that i can hit target all day long in the 200 yards range and the POI shift will not affect the shots in this distance.
Would like to thanks NEA to offer this product that give another dimension to the great 858.
So guys who have the NEA upper then you come to the same conclusion ?
