Has anyone else had issues getting the NEA uppers to fit cerero forge lowers ? 4 different NEA uppers will not fit on 2 different key hole marked lowers and a 3rd very old factory Colt lower .
We were thinking maybe it was just the 1 upper so we tried some friends uppers , They all fit American Defense UIC Billet Lower Receiver but 1 of the 3 we could get the pivot pin to engage that was it anyone experienced this before ?

I had 2 complete NEA ARs. (1st gen with grey finish and 2nd gen with black finish)
I could not switch their uppers without hitting the takedown pins back in.

I also tried these NEA uppers with a S&W lower and it was so out of alignment that there was no way to pair them.

Sketchy.

Nea upper wont even fit their own lower. Ask me how....

Their complete rifle or major components are out to lunch on spec, only thing i found useful was their gas block.

They made it undersized i guess, their gas block is the only block i have used that has no gas leak and i have used Noveske/seekins/ geissele etc

Do you have calipers? If you do, could you measure the width of the front and back takedown pin areas?

Do yourself a favour and throw that nea upper in the garbage.

I will echo some other posters. After this much junk why do people still buy them? This isn't a new gen 1 teething issue. It is recurring. Buy something else. #### i don't advocate for norc but hell buy a ####ing norc.

Let me be very direct I had some earlier slab sides that were in spec really nice billets not built uppers just stripped billet uppers I'm still running to this day .
This gave me a false sense of security upon examination the out of spec uppers appear to be forged they have much less defined lines etc
I also have had gfood early results with CCS stock although I have to change my take down pins to use on the newer lower ,
Speaking of CCS stock I purchase one with the upper threads are no good it was obviously forced onto lower and stripped on the factory built rifle tool marks were made on the tube when it was disassembled now the tube threads are damaged I was told BCL were honoring the life time guarantee so I wrote to BCL with low to no expectations they sent me a notice of reverse merger and said they don't warenty NEA but he would look through bins to see if he could locate a tube .
I bought a used upper that will hook to 1 of our billet lowers if I spent lots of cash on NEA product I would be pissed.
I'm surprised that BCL can skirt liability for NEA .
Thanks for your input

I got similar issues to fit an 7.62x39 NEA upper on my S&W M&P15 Sport II. The holes in the NEA upper did not quite line up with the lower. The distance between the two holes was correct though. Since I got a good deal on the upper, I simply filed a bit of the finish to fit. I took just enough to line the pin holes, but not enough the allow the upper to rotate fully open. Anyway, I was not impressed with the fit but since the price was good...

Good luck!

Yeah never had a NEA upper fit without fookin around on any lower.

Altho usually it is only the rear pin leg that is the offender.
The rest of the uppers haven't been any problem.
Pay attain to the rear pin leg and its hole. Usually a few swipes with a file on the sides and lower end of the pin leg and sometimes a lil hogging out of the pinhole itself does it.
This has fixed the issue entirely on the 3 uppers I have done it to.

IF the upper came with a BCG...remove and toss it like a turd it is...dumpster food. Don't wait for it to break or otherwise fail...and it will....some of em aren't even round!!

The CCS stock likely the most clever item they made the later ones had a decent finish on the carrier the older ones had none !
They sent these to some of the biggest operators in the US both gun companies and PMC's ironically it was well received even functioned flawlessly on full auto .
The biggest complaint was the carrier , once they began exporting and brownels picked up the CCS they finished the carrier much better but changed the but stock itself from very nice billet to black plastic .
I must admit its sad to see a Canadian company fail so much , it appears that right before they knew the end was near they dumped a majority of remaining stock a long with there mini can suprssor in Iraq at fire sale prices .
Some of there rifles have surfaced in the hands of terrorist organizations although that was according to the Turks and anyone who disagrees with them seem to be terrorist even the Peshmerga .

That’s because it’s supposed to be, how else do you think it was ruled NR vs R.

I don't think he means other AR-10s, but with other BCL 102 rifles. They changed designs between batches, within a matter of months people's rifles were missing features and incompatible with newer versions.

Even if he did mean other AR-10s, the Stag-10 is NR and it takes other manufacturer's uppers and DPMS pattern parts... So there's no excuse for the mess that is the BCL 102.
