NEA Vz.58 upper handguard

Lots of people use them, they are the gold standard for forward mounted dots.
But Im concerned about your statement that you feel your siderail isnt holding zero. It really should be, something is wrong. Did you loctite all your threads?

My side rail, and low mount Rocks, it is rock solid and returns to zero when I remove and Re install. Maybe remove check to make sure the mounting hardware is tight enough that it tightens up properly when pushing the pressure lever over to the closed position.

I worked on my side mount and got it locked down pretty darned good -- I must have done a half-assed job when I originally installed it -- though the real test will be at the range.

So I'll probably not purchase the NEA upper hand guard. That said, my thanks for your thoughts folks!
