You dont remove any ar safety that way
Make sure the gun it clear and u loaded

Flip the gun over see the bolt in the pistol grip. Unscrew that.
There will be a spring in the grip and dedent in the hole under the safety.
Take those out
Then #### the hammer and the safety should fall out from the left hand sides

I think you might be confusing left and right? Last I checked NEA made it so the left side can't even be unscrewed. The side that would be right if your holding the gun as if you were firing it should be easy to unscrew. The rest just follow the instructions in your trigger tech package. You don't need to remove the grip just loosen a couple mm to give the plunger some room. When it's time to put it back in use a small screw driver to push it in a little and pop the safety back in place.

Did you get the safety removed? I just picked up a new complete NEA lower. I'm thinking of ditching the ambi safety and going with the standard one. I find it a bit flat for my ape like thumbs.
