NEA's New 7.62 X 39 AR Rifles

How was the accuracy Stevo?
I'm hoping for 3 moa.

Haven't shot it for group at all. Just ran a bunch of rounds through it for a rough zero and to check reliability and then took it to the match.

I'm hoping it will be better than 3 MOA. My x39 XCR does that and the AR is inherently a more accurate rifle.

Hi Guys just found this thread so figured i'd share the results from my testing down here :)

Hungarian milsurp does 1.5" @100m

the Hornady 123gr SST Steel case starts off doing 3" but tightens up to 1" after 6 rounds in 12 seconds (.310 projectile in a .311 bore)
MV 2150fps

at 200

the best factory performance came from the most expensive ammo this is at 50m
Lapua Factory (104YARIN) 123gr FMJ MV 2280fps

the challenge has proven to be to match it without the NZ$2 per round ammo bill
this was unprepped new Lapua brass (some inconsistancy in the neck tension) with Lapua .311 projectiles also at 50
group on the right is 5 rounds unsuppressed the left is suppressed and sights adjusted

the weather has prevented me moving out to 100 as of late :(

I am impressed that you do not need a scope riser on yor NEA, I had to buy a Weaver riser so my scope would be in line with my eye. In any case, my 12.5" .223 NEA is sub MOA with the new Aussie Ouback ammo so a new NEA upper is next on the list. And, your ears must be totally blown out if you shoot without hearing protec with rhe Crusader muzzle brake! I use the mini can.

dont use risers on my 14.5 556 either just running high scope rings :)

I tried that but the scope was too close to my eye.... Try the Aussie Outback 55gr blitzing ammo, magpies and rabbits explode when hit. Will try on goats next.

sold mine in March, wasn't using it as the 556 outperforms it ballistically with 68gr or heavier projeciles past 200m. and even a 60gr 223 still drops large deer at 150m.

the NEA 25 (308) isn't far away if you're going to buy a .30 cal make it that.

Were not adult enough to be 'allowed" to hunt with AR's.
F** this gov. & the RCMP. Scam bags.

Non-restricted I hope. Still the x39 captures my imagination somehow...if it works well enough.

They are working on getting it non restricted :)

my gripes with the 7.62X39 was only with the limitations of the caliber, more drop at 100m than .22LR is outperformed past 200m with 68gr+ .223 ammo. much the same weaknesses as 300AAC which is why i sold mine :)
