Picked up this little old can of goodies yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised to find what was inside. GRIN It contained the following: 38-55 bullet mould(missing the wood handles and sprue cutter probably repairable), a #10 .77 ball mould, #52 ball mould, #42 ball mould, can of percussion caps, a set of 12 guage loading tools reasonably complete including what appears to be a cardboard wad cutter and die. There was also something I never saw before that looked like a ring of sorts. My very old shooting buddy ID'd it as an extractor for antique 12 guage shells. He is old enough to have actually used them with old blackpowder shotguns years ago. There was also some vintage ammo in there as well. A hollow point .280 Ross round, 1 32-20, 1-25-20, 1 45-70, 1-45-90, 1 .57 Snyder lead, 4 57 Snyder shotshells, 10- .32 long rimfire, 1 .32 short rimfire and my personal favorite one, an original .25 Savage long rimfire. There is also a bunch of .32 rimmed, .32 ACP and some 30-30. Not shown was a bunch of original .43 Mauser ammo which I already stuck in with the rest of my .43 Mauser rounds. You never know what will turn up and it never hurts to ask if they have anything else they want to sell. I bought 3 completely original full wood Krag Jorgensen 6.5's at the same time. That was a good day for me. Thought you might like to see the old moulds and reloading stuff.

These items came from a private sale Pete. Here's a couple quick pics of the Krags. The top one is a 1908 full wood (crack in the wrist where someone taped it but very repairable), the middle one is a 1896 with shortened forestock. Awesome bore, in fact the best I have ever seen in a Krag Jorgensen. The short rifle is an 1897 which apears to be an arsenal shortened long rifle by looking at the forestock. Bore is REALLY good on this gun as well. There is some pitting on the exterior of the barrel though but the internals are still covered in cosmoline. I don't think any of these rifles were ever fired since they were sold surplus years ago. These are the only intact full wood Krags I have ever found. I have a few others but they have had cousin Bubba visit and do some custom woodwork unfortunately. They are neat guns with the slickest action you'll ever find on a military rifle.
