Neat little project.

Some of the inserts that I have seen, had a sliding extractor dovetailed in the side of the chamber portion of the adaptor and which was caught by the shotgun extractor. The rim portion of the adaptor where the shotgun extractor could catch it, was ground away so that when you opened the gun the rifle shell was extracted but not the adaptor. The catch is that as you go up in diameter of the rifle cartridge, there rapidly becomes very little room for the rifle extractor to be dovetailed into.
