Looks handy!

It is a nice light weight bush gun I actually bought for my wife to use as a camp defense gun but the accuracy sucked and the mag springs kept popping apart making it totally unreliable never knew when it wasn't going to feed a round.

Sent it into Quebec for warranty it came back with the same problems.

Don't get me wrong it is a nice little rifle it just wasn't good enough for what I was needing for my wife for the money I would get a lever action in 30-30/44mag or up to a 45-70.

Interesting, I am the one who bought it from you, and I specifically asked about accuracy and you told me you only shot it with sights but seemed fine. You also failed to mention any of the other problems. Thanks in fact I think I printed our communications....I will have to look for them.

Anyways, when I got it, I put a timney in it, and tried a quite a few different loads, but now can keep it under 2" @ 100 yrds which is good enough for me. Never had an issue with either mag working.

Haha....busted

Nice try guys I had two of those rifles the one that I had the issue with went to a local guy here in BC obviously otherwise you would have had some issues as well.

So nice try ... busted "not"...

I had the same experience (with Ruger service in Quebec) with my Ruger77/350RM that wouldn't feed reliably. I could swear they merely looked at it and sent it back. If they did do anything it was clearly not fixed when I got it back.

But those lil 77/44s sure look like a handy brush beaters - if they operate as they should.

As far as I know they were discontinued a few years ago. I had one too, the mag failed on the first trip to the range. The gun was nice to carry but not very accurate, despite that I still miss it.

Looks like Ruger is re-introducing them.....at least thats what they say on their website.

A really great little brush gun in this caliber is the Ruger Deerfield Carbine. Reliable rugged little brush gun.
I don't think Ruger makes them at the moment, they always start them stop production for this gun.
