(edit)Oops you already gave it up. I was told a few years ago he was still using his original 4x Leupold Pioneer on that old girl. Must have retired it. If rifles could tell stories, that one would talk about some great mule deer.

Jerry Fisher is disputably the finest stock maker in North America, and rubbed shoulders with every one from Elgin Gates, to O`Connor, Skeet and Skelton.

I was visiting with D'Arcy Echols in his shop a few years ago and he asked if I had ever been in Jerry's shop (he apprenticed under Jerry). I told him I hadn't and he said I must. I need to do it sooner than later.
 
anyone notice that the article stated that the only gun he ever used since 1964 was his 7mm rem mag. Yet later in the article he says "I don't believe in shooting at over 300 yards, and you don't need a magnum cartridge for anything inside that."

I just thought that was a little funny
