neck tolerance q

How unsafe is it to shoot loaded rounds with necks that nearly match in diameter with chamberings? ie a .339 round in a .339 neck.

I want to use these rounds, but I don't really want to pull and neck turn factory lapua rounds.

308 cartridges? If they chamber without being pushed I would shoot them. I've shot zero NK clearance 6 PPC rounds, that required no sizing. Knock primer out, prime, drop powder charge and seat bullet. Advise you take a few measurements of cartridge before and after shooting to be sure expansion in web area and extractor groove is not an issue.

.223's neck diameter is .253", but like Chinbullco says, if they chamber with no fuss don't worry about it.
However, a bullet will not fit in a like diameter hole. Neither will anything else.
