Neck turning tool problem

Hi,

I have just received a Sinclair neck turning tool.
Is it normal that the blade does not run parralel to the mandrel?

The tip of the blade (near the shoulder angle) is closer to the mandrel then the bottom of the blade...

I have a different neck turner and I have my neck tool set up with the cutting blade flat and level with the mandrel

Judging from the instructions above you should have control of the blade angle (set screw #2 I think)

What I read is that set screw # 2 only thighten the blade... Not anything on the angle

Loosen #2 and then screw in #1 until the blade contacts the mandrel, this should straighten the blade and make it level and on the same plane as the mandrel. Then tighten #2 and it should stay parallel to the mandrel as #1 is moved in and out.

Its your neck turning tool and you will need to play with it until it is adjusted properly, your the only one that has it in your hands and can make any adjustments.
