need .30 berger 185grn load info

I need some one to check what the min. and max loads are for the 185 grn. Berger .30 cal. with Varget powder.My books show the 180 and 190 grn and I can start lower and work up but if the information is handy I could use it.

I load the 18gr Juggernauts with 43.6gr of Varget. Lapua brass, CCI BR2 primers, OAL at ogive 2.265" (0.010 jump). Out of a 24" Rock Creek barrel, 1/2 MOA easy.

I did my ladder test from 42.0 to 44.5 grains, only saw slight primer cratering at 44.5, bolt lift was never sticky.

Your mileage will vary.

The 185 Berger juggernauats are they as land sensitive as the 185 VLD or VLDH? Or maybe better yet what is the difference between the Juggernaut and the VLD bullets?

As far as I know they are more like the hybrids WRT jump/jam then VLDs, they look like conventional tangent ogive. They are designed for transonic stability, or so says Litz.
I haven't done any testing with varying the OAL, and probably won't even bother.

Just use 180 grain data. Five grains won't matter.
