I have a couple of these in my possession and know diddley and squiddley about them.
One is a sporter and the other unsportered.
I wish to put them in the EE, but don't have a clue as to how to price them.
Your wisdom is needed.
Here are a few photos of the pair of soldiers.

*Edit.....The upper rifle bolt #'s do not match the receiver, but the front wood does.
...... The sporter bolt has the last two #'s of the receiver # stamped into it.

Thanks.
Looky.

The top one appears to be a nice #4mk1, likely English made and an earlier one from the top rear hand guard.

The lower one looks to be a sporterized #4mk1* from what I can see, the two grove barrel makes me think so and I can't see a bolt release like on the other one.

I'm sure someone else will be along shortly with more and/or better information on them.

I took a bunch of photos of each, just didn't know what is needed to give you the needed info.
I believe both are the same other than the sporterized verses original.
The rifling has me curious as to how accurate the two groove would be.
The sights are a bit different as well.
Ask and I will post.
Thanks.

$300 to $350 for the full wood one, assuming the serial numbers match on the bolt and receiver. It appears to be BSA made in 1944.

$150-$200 for the Sporter model. Some guys are collecting the Parker Hale sporters and if this is one, it might go for a bit more. It looks PH to me by the front sight, not all PH sporters were marked PH.

I would agree with the price range. The as-issued rifle has the forend screw typical of rifles that were refurbed in India. Won't make it any easier to sell.

The original 303.
The numbers aren't visible like the other.
I will go out there and have another look later.

This is one of the sporter.

Do you have a clear picture of the writing on the left side of the receiver on the full wood one, or can you tell us what it is ?

Sorry Kevan, I guess this is what you were seeking?
