I have an old JC Higgens bolt action 12 guage model: 583.20. I took it out for its maiden voyage after purchasing it. It shot fine three times and I tried twice after that with what looks like "light primer hits". I got home and tore the bolt right apart and cleaned it. When I use the bolt, and try the trigger (Spent hull in barrel), nothing happens. Almost makes me think the trigger is the culprit. Does someone have a break down (exploded view) that they could share? Thanks, Darcy

This is the best I could come up with quickly. Hope it helps a bit.

I will keep looking tho.

Thanks guys. Not sure what I did, but I tore it down and re-assembled it and now it works great. Everytime a person set the action, it would not hold the firing pin in the "ready mode". It works good now.
