'Need' a classy 30/06

I've been casually search for an /06 for a while now that just screams classic. What I know I want is CRF action, iron sights great walnut stock, 20"-22" barrel.

What I am considering is:
Brno ZKK 600
Brno ZG47
Husky 1600
Parker & Hale
Ruger RS

Wondering if you gentlemen you care to add your opinions and suggestions on what I have listed and if I have missed any great options.

Pics of your rifles wouldn't hurt either!

Mauser Type M 30-06

Frank DeHaas was a big fan of BRNO ZKKs.

Frank De Haas was mostly interested in just the actions for building customs. A lot of the information in his famous Bolt Action Rifles book is outdated, vague and sometimes just plain wrong.
Try taking apart and reinstalling a Brno ZKK single-set trigger based on the instructions he gives in the book. He obviously had never done it.

The book really needs an updated re-write.

I like them...but...all the Brno ZKK series seem heavy to me for their respective classes and do not handle all that well. Not for me anyway. The triggers, whether single or single-set, are not great and can be difficult to adjust. The safety operates backward. The pop-up peep is admirable machining but not really that useful. Particularly in the later versions, most of the somewhat excessive machining is a bit crude. There are several parts that are actually castings from originally machined parts. The forend "Rosewood" tip on the bulky "Monte Carlo" stock is really just dyed forend wood. The white line is a U-shaped insert, not a real divider. The "classic" stock is way too low for scope use. The wood finish and checkering are crude and benefit from a refinish (like Zastavas). Open sights are crude. Scope mounting can be a pain. There are a lot of parts. Way more than a regular Mauser.

Good barrels. Usually fairly accurate.

In general, they fall into the category of "improved Mauser" and like the others in this category, they are really not much of an improvement at all.
