Need a custom wood stock

I believe there is a guy in Harris Saskatchewan that makes gun stocks. Saw him at the gun show once in Saskatoon. Can't remember his name?

What are you looking for in a stock , standard replacement or
something different ( read expencive)
Robert Wilson in Harris has decent wood and the price is
very reasable.
Are you able to finish it yourself.
The finial fitting and finishing is where the goes.
If you don't want to do the work and not spend
huge amount, what about a replacent plastic ( syth.) stock

I am also curious about a fellow Canadian Stock maker. Would really like a nice one for my Anschutz 1717. Some amazing stock makers in the US however not sure if a custom walnut stock would make it across the boarder?

x2 on Macon if you can't find a Canadian supplier for what you want. I ordered two 90% inletted stocks for my Marlin's and they are very nicely done. The inletting was pretty easy to complete, but there is quite a bit of shaping that's required to remove the excess wood and profile it to your liking.

All-in-all, I had a very good experience with Macon and their prices were quite reasonable for some unique looking wood.
